We have installed a Hi Fi system featuring Icon valve amps & vintage Celestion & Tannoy studio monitors to ensure the music played is represented at its best.

The idea is to be able to feel & hear the music whilst also being able to conduct a conversation. Toe tapping optional…

Most weekends, DJs play accessible yet credible musical selections across all formats (not just vinyl…). You can listen to past recorded sets on our Mixcloud channel here.

We also host supper clubs, live music and other fun stuff. Read on …

CHEFS…

For our fifth evening residency of 2018, we welcome the rather brilliant James Donnelly for seven weeks starting on Tuesday 19th June. The former head chef at The Palmerston in Lordship Lane, Dulwich specialises in small plates that brings together the best modern British cuisine using nose-to-tail and root-to-leaf of locally sourced and sustainable produce from within our shores.

In James’s own words …

“There’s so much amazing food being produced responsibly, organically and sustainably within the UK right now, often grown right under our noses here in London, and I want to take full advantage of this incredible produce. My dishes, small and big, are a culmination of years of working alongside some great chefs (Tom Aikens – Tom’s Kitchen, Jamie Younger – Bibendum, The Palmerston), developing menus, tastes and travelling all around the world finding inspiration, flavours and new cooking techniques”

SUNDAY SUPPER CLUB…

On Sunday 22 July, we welcome back Chef Ingrid Wakeling for a very special evening of food & music.
Dumplings Sans Frontiers is a pop up supper club in Brighton and London started as a way of exploring the connections between community, food and history. The journey that dumplings took along the Silk Road and beyond inspired a culinary adventuring that is delicious, affordable and unifying. You can hear Ingrid discussing all this and more when she appeared on Louie Louie co owner Chris Greenwood’s  SOAS Radio show

NEW COFFEE…

Our new suppliers are called REDEMPTION. Their roastery is based inside the walls of Aylesbury Prison. As well as producing damn fine blends, it’s where they transform young offenders into specialty coffee industry professionals. They learn on the job, equipping them with the real skills they need to work in a cafe or roastery on the outside.
